There are two beach access roads close to the Lighthouse, Camera Pad A and B. I would usually choose one of the access roads for early morning sunrise pictures and both would take me by the lighthouse on the way to the office. On this particular morning I noticed the colors of the early morning sky starting to surround the lighthouse so after a few beach pictures I raced back to the Lighthouse to capture some of the colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a quick drive back from the beach I was able to capture the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse with colors in the Western sky. This is known as Atmospheric Refraction<\/strong>, the Earth\\’s atmosphere can bend light, allowing you to see the sun or its light in unusual positions. This can sometimes create the illusion of the sun being visible in more than one location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
