over the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On my daily drive out to work at The Kennedy Space Center through the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station I would often take a detour out to the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse as the sun was rising over the Atlantic Ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this particular day (July 24th, 2015) I decided to walk around the lighthouse and photograph it as the sun was rising. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A couple quick facts about the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Erected in 1868, the Lighthouse is 151 feet tall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Lighthouse is topped with a 1st Order Fresnel lens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Due to storm surge in 1871, the Lighthouse was moved inland in 1893 and 1894 to its current location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 1939 the Coast Guard took ownership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 2000 stewardship was transferred to the 45th Space Wing, Patrick Air Force Base.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\\\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full\\\"><a
